Job Description

  • Reporting to the Chief R&D Officer, this role ensures seamless progression of drug candidates from preclinical stages through IND-enabling studies and early-phase clinical trials.
  • Support IND preparation for both CDE, FDA and other markets
  • Lead and manage Translational and Clinical research programs in line with organisational goals - focus on Cancer
  • Develop and implement research strategies to support product development and innovation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of research and business objectives.
  • Oversee data analysis and reporting to drive decision-making processes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards in all research activities.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the research team to achieve optimal performance.
  • Identify and foster partnerships with external stakeholders to enhance research capabilities.
  • Stay updated with advancements in the life sciences field and incorporate relevant innovations.

The Successful Applicant

  • MD, PhD or MD in a relevant biomedical discipline; board certification in oncology preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in biotech/pharma/CRO, with at least 8 years in oncology drug development and early clinical trials.
  • Proven track record in IND-enabling studies, clinical trial design, and regulatory submissions.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills; ability to mentor and develop scientific talent.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to influence across functions and geographies.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin is preferred
